This condo, located within a townhouse-style complex in Queen West, received a full interior renovation. We replaced flooring throughout the unit, repainted every room, and completely rebuilt the bathroom, focusing on quality materials, clean lines, and thoughtful design decisions. Every upgrade was chosen to enhance both function and comfort, from a complete bathroom remodel with premium-grade finishes and heated flooring, to full flooring replacement across the unit and a full interior repaint that modernized the space throughout.

Inside the Stillwater Renovation

The Design Vision

The design vision centered on creating a calm, grounded retreat within the city, warm materials, clean lines, and a quiet consistency from room to room. Every decision was made to elevate daily comfort without losing the practicality a condo demands.

The Bathroom

By grounding the bathroom in warm earth tones, we created a space that feels calm, inviting, and effortlessly serene. The custom-made solid oak vanity adds natural warmth and craftsmanship, while luxury Spanish tiles elevate both the shower and the flooring with refined texture and durability. Heated floors complete the spa-like atmosphere with an added layer of comfort.

Driven by meticulous attention to detail, Petre, our tile specialist, delivered a seamless finish throughout. Matte beige Schluter Quad trim was matched precisely to the tile, and a Schluter linear drain system was installed and finished to disappear into the floor. Every line, edge, and transition was executed with precision.

The Flooring

Luxury vinyl flooring adds warmth while delivering long-lasting durability against wear, moisture, and everyday use. We installed 8mm, 8-inch-wide luxury vinyl plank from Twelve Oaks Flooring throughout the unit, chosen for its resilience in condo units within townhouse-style complexes, where water damage is a common issue. We assess each space and its history to recommend finishes that are both beautiful and practical, and for leak-prone units, premium vinyl remains the most reliable choice.

Before & After

The old shower-tub combo and dated tile gave way to a walk-in shower, heated floors, and a spa-like feel throughout.

What’s on the inside matters!

A beautiful bathroom is only as good as what's behind the tile. Before anything looked finished, we focused on getting the foundation right, proper waterproofing, precise substrate work, and a drain system built to last.

Built to Last
At Vogman Design + Build, we create bathrooms that last. Every layer, from waterproofing to tile setting, is done with precision and care to prevent leaks, rot, and mold.

Craftsmanship First
Our meticulous preparation ensures perfectly straight, level, and stable surfaces, so every tradesperson that follows can execute with precision and deliver a flawless finish.

Premium Systems
We rely on Schluter® waterproofing and substrate systems to deliver a fully integrated, industry-leading foundation.

Integrity Behind the Walls
We take pride in the details you don't see, because that's what ensures a bathroom that performs beautifully and lasts for decades.

The Process, Step by Step

Every finished surface hides the work that makes it last. This bathroom was rebuilt from the studs out, new rough-ins, a fully waterproofed subfloor, Schluter substrate panels, and a heated floor system installed before a single tile was set. Precision at every stage, laser levels included, is what makes the final finish look effortless.

The team troubleshooting a detail together — good collaboration between trades is what keeps a project like this on track.
Precision matters for a frameless glass enclosure — the laser lines make sure every measurement is dead-on before the glass gets cut.
